Overview
The Far and Wide ABC course is designed to immerse ten year olds in nature and to open their ears and eyes to its wonders from squiggly water bugs to birds, bees and butterflies and other beasties.
What to Expect
The six foundations of our world …Sun, soil, air, water, plants and animals are the foundations of the Programme. The environment is perfect for exploring and opening up children’s eyes. We learn best by experiencing and that’s what we do during our Programme, dip into rivers, search for bugs, chase butterflies, spot birds, kiss earthworms, walk through Afro Montane forests, make soil, learn about frogs and get excited about nature like never before.
Objectives
Through this experience and the sowing of seeds children feel connection with our world and want to care for it. One small step but together we can make a difference.
This course arose from Julie's own memories of being a ten year old at Mushandike camp and experiencing a love for nature by being immersed in it.
