Overview
The Far and Wide Wilderness Leader program is our flagship school program. We take participants on a comprehensive outdoor activity and expedition-based program that allows individuals to challenge themselves in a variety of ways and apply their experiences to leadership and teamwork.
Objectives
The wilderness builder program offers a diverse range of outdoor activities and lessons, as well as an expedition-based experience on the world-renowned Far and Wide Turaco Trail. Participants will engage in experiential learning focused on leadership and teamwork, allowing them to gain perspective, reflect on themselves and their peers, and think about the future. Our aim is to foster a healthy relationship with outdoor pursuits and activities, instilling a lasting impression and love for nature, as well as facilitating personal growth. Throughout these pursuits and challenges, there is always an element of fun, ensuring that participants learn more than they would in a lifetime in a classroom.
What to Expect
Participants will engage in a variety of outdoor activities, such as games, high ropes, and an expedition on the famous Turaco Trail. They will also take part in workshops and other activities that allow them to reflect on themselves. Teachers can participate in the program to provide a personalized experience.
