FAQS
Child Policy
We love children at Far and Wide and have many options of accommodation that are perfectly suited to families with young ones, such as our self catering cottages or Aberfoyle lodge. The SkyDeck however, is intended for couples.
Electricity
The Skydeck has it's own solar system so you will always have power.
Weather
Situated 1800 metres above sea level and in the mountains, means that our weather is very unpredictable. It can get very wet, but we guarantee that you will be kept warm by our amazing fireplace, or in the hot tub.
Delicious Food
Our food is created by Shepherd who joined our Far and Wide team 5 years ago. Shepherd is from the area and loves cooking. He has trained in-house to now produce some of the finest food in Zimbabwe. Our secret is lots of amazing flavour and excellent presentation. We don't do fancy food but we do do delicious food. The ingredients that we use are the finest that we can source. We try as much as possible to buy our vegetables from our local farmers. We also have our own greenhouse that grows some of our delicious vegetables. We cater for all dietary requirements including religious requirements, gluten free (celiac), allergies, vegans and vegetarians or anything that you may request. Nothing is too great for our team.
Our Activities
If you are just after a relaxing trip in the most magical of wilderness' then you have arrived at the perfect destination. However if you are after adventure activities, beautiful afro-montane forest walks, some of the best birding in Zimbabw,e or game drives through the Pungwe and Nyangani Grasslands, then we offer everything that you may be looking for. If you have booked our all inclusive package then all of this is included. From the Mutarazi Falls SkyWalk and SkyLine, to guided walks everything is included. If however you only book our Full Board option then you can still do any of our activities and settle for them at then end.
